In the heart of a fruit market in Quito, an Ecuadorian healer tends to her community with ancestral knowledge. As she soothes the ailments of strangers, she carries a deeper wound: the absence of her daughters, forced to migrate in search of safety and opportunity amid Ecuador’s deepening economic crisis and rising violence.
